Colophon
What in the world is a colophon anyway?? Well, [in publishing, a colophon describes details of the production of a book](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colophon_%28publishing%29 “Wikipedia entry on Colophon”). While this isn’t really considered a book, a lot of work went into making this site as usefull as possible, not only for you our guest, but also for the people who keep the site up to date. So here, we’d like to give a little credit to those people and tools that made this site possible.
Our website is hosted on a server provided by [Drivenstudios](http://www.drivenstudios.net), running Linux and Apache.
For our CMS, we’ve made use of the execellent platform, [Wordpress](http://www.wordpress.org) along with plugins too numerous to list all of them. Howerver, I would like to express thanks in particular to a few that were especially critical.
[podPress](http://www.mightyseek.com/podpress/) made it amazingly easy to bring you [Trey's sermons](/category/sermons/) each week. ([Audacity](http://audacity.sf.net) comes in really handy, here.) [Scripturizer](http://dev.wp-plugins.org/wiki/Scripturizer) automatically creates links to the Biblegateway any time a verse is listed. And the [ThickBox](http://www.dan-atkinson.com/wp/index.php/110/thickbox-plugin-for-wordpress/) plugin allowed us to "integrate" our calendar and photo gallery without any hassle at all.
In addtion to the ability to access all the execellent plugins, by using Wordpress we are able to add or edit content without needing to know any [HTML](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTML).
For inspiration of what we wanted the site to look like, we started with the [softenedCells](http://fullahead.org/work/softenedCells/) theme, which we found via [OpenWebDesign](http://openwebdesign.org).
[Google](http://calendar.google.com) powers our calendar/events. That’s why we can provide RSS and iCal feeds of our upcoming events. We also use Google for our [email group](/about/subscribe).
[Gallery2](http://gallery.menalto.com) powers our photo gallery. RSS feeds are available here, too.
We strive to make our site XHTML 1.0 and CSS2 valid. We’re close, but not quite there yet…. Once we get there, that will help our site look the same (or at least function the same) no matter what browser or computer Operating System you use (i.e. Windows, Mac, or Linux).
