Mary Beth Morris

Mrs. Mary Beth Morris
Women's Ministry Director

The women's ministry at the Creek is known as Girlfriends at the Creek and has a rich variety of activities and ample ministries for women of all ages. The ministry is led by Mrs. Mary-Beth Morris, a wife of 45 years to her very loving, supportive husband, Doug. She is a mother of three and grandmother of five. After 21 years of worldwide travel with her military husband, she returned to Texas where she teaches middleschool with BISD (21 years now). She has a passion for her Savior, her family, and for women’s ministry. Girlfriends at the Creek is a place for women to make friends, develop creative skills, refresh their souls, and become the women God wants them to be. The hope of the leadership team is for the ministry to be a blessing to everyone. "Be sure to check out our activities!"

Julia Walker

Ms. Julia Walker
Senior Adults Ministry Director

Pacemakers is a successful program arm of the senior adult ministry at Canyon Creek Baptist Church. This core ministry of the Creek is in the able hands of Ms. Julia Walker, a wonderful servant leader and dedicated teacher of many decades. Ms. Walker is a proud mother and grandmother, who spent many years serving in various capacities in churches with her wonderful late husband. In addition to ministering to the elderly at the Creek and leading senior adult programming, Ms. Walker works full-time as supervisor in residential housing at her Alma Mater, the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. On Sundays, Ms. Walker is found singing hymns with the seniors, leading in them in prayer, teaching her class, and singing in the choir. People of all ages flock to Ms. Walker to get a hug. We surely are blessed to have Ms. Julia, as she is known to most people, as part of our Creek family.
